Kenneth M. Talley, President, Rodessa Operating Company
For four decades, Mr. Talley has been responsible for supervising drilling, completion, and production activities. He has operated oil wells and gas wells in California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Kansas. Mr. Talley is the President of Rodessa Operating Company. His company and its network of vendors are operating more than 125 wells.
For twenty-one years, his responsibilities at Rodessa have included the preparation of AFE's, negotiating bids with drilling and other service contractors. He prepares reserve reports, economic evaluations, and regulatory filings. In addition, he maintains responsibility for accounts payable, joint interest billing, revenue distributions, and lease operating expenses. (Rodessa has been contract operator for Mr. Humphrey's and Mr. Mitchell's prior companies since 2005.) Prior to starting Rodessa, he was President of Talley Resources, Inc. and maintained the same responsibilities. Before starting his own company, Mr. Talley was Manager of Producing Operations for Hrubetz Oil Company. There, he supervised operations on all company-operated wells. This included casing and cementing programs, testing and logging wells, design and installation of tank batteries, supervision of contract and company pumpers and the day-to-day operation of wells. Mr. Talley directly supervised a team of 12-15 people daily. Before that, he was Senior Operations Engineer at Centex Oil and Gas where he supervised completions and operations for company-operated wells. He analyzed candidates for workovers, prepared quarterly reserve reports, and he monitored company-operated and third-party-operated offshore properties. Mr. Talley was Production Engineer for Pioneer Production Corporation from 1978-1981. From 1975-1978, he was Division Engineer for Diamond Shamrock. At each company, his responsibilities and authority were similar to those at Hrubetz. Mr. Talley started as a Reservoir Engineer with Texaco in 1971. There where he prepared and submitted evaluations of drilling prospects. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to Production Engineer and then Area Engineer and began supervising a team of production engineers.
Mr. Talley holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, Auburn Alabama.
